Alcoa

Application: Industrial Wastewater
Size:10’ Dia. X 17’ Deep
Location: Wichita Falls, TX
Description:These two custom wet wells serve as receiving and pumping stations to an industrial wetland heavy metal process system. The first pump station houses a duplex pump package which pumps to the wetland cells. The second pump station receives the polished wastewater and recirculated it back to additional wetland cells. These two wet wells worked in conjunction with two underground fiberglass primary settling tanks. These tanks were 10’ diameter x 20,000 gallon tanks with multiple custom baffles to deflect flow and direct any metals to the bottom of the tanks.

This was a fast track design/build project. Fiberglass Tank Solutions provided all tanks and wet wells on time and under budget.

Features:

  • This project consisted of two 10’ dia. X 15’-0” deep fiberglass duplex pump stations.
  • The bottom design was a truncated bottom and the top design was an above ground flat fiberglass top built to support a pedestrian load.
  • The top also included an aluminum bolt down hatch and tank skid resistant gel coat service on the fiberglass.
  • The discharge piping system was schedule 80 PVC.
