What Is Decentralized Wastewater?

Decentralized wastewater systems, (also referred to as On – Site Wastewater systems) convey, treat, dispose, or reuse wastewater from small and low-density communities, buildings and dwellings in remote or rural areas. The concept is simple, provide the treatment at the point of use, with lower overall cost, as compared to conveying to municipal methods where wastewater is transferred through miles of underground piping to one central location.

Up to 50,000 gallons of On-site Wastewater Capability

Our Underground Storage Tanks range from 4’ – 12’ diameter, from 500 gallons to 50,000 gallons of individual tank storage capacity. Fiberglass Tank Solutions also manufactures three different anchoring systems and we can provide buoyancy calculations or finite element analysis structural calculations with individual State P.E. stamps for over 40 States.

Applications

Fiberglass Tank Solutions manufacturers a full range of underground tanks for the on-site wastewater market. Our staff has an experienced background in these decentralized tank applications. Septic, re-circulation, dosing, equalization, and holding tanks are just a few of the many types of underground tanks we build to serve this application. We have the knowledge and expertise to help you incorporate these tanks and features into a key component of a successful decentralized wastewater system installation.

Onsite Wastewater

Decentralized wastewater treatment can provide a long-term and cost-effective solution for communities by reducing that pollution, as well as initial capital expenditures, operation, and maintenance costs.

Subdivisions, RV parks, churches, schools, event centers, and wineries, are examples of facilities that can use underground storage and process tanks, when municipal sewers are not available. Fiberglass Tank Solutions tanks can be customized to store, process, or pump within the needs of a decentralized (or on-site) wastewater solution.

Fiberglass Benefits

Unlike porous concrete tanks, which make up the majority of septic tanks, fiberglass is 100% watertight, eliminating the danger of groundwater contamination from sewage leakage. Fiberglass tanks are also lightweight, as well as easier to install and transport.

Our tanks can be prepackaged with pumps, piping, and process systems, which saves you money and speeds up field installation without entry into confined space.

Buoyancy & Anti-Flotation

Fiberglass Tank Solutions provides two engineered anti-flotation systems for underground tanks: TankAnchor, and our fiberglass deadmen with straps and turnbuckles. We also provide buoyancy and PE-stamped calculations.

Unrivaled Expertise

Our staff is knowledgeable on the wastewater treatment process, pumping, and systems components needed to complete a system specific to your needs. Our founder spent over 15 years as a decentralized wastewater equipment distributor developed a design-build team, and was owner of a public utility to operate and maintain these types of facilities. We have an upper hand in the on-site wastewater market to better assist you in your tank needs.
