With a New York engineering firm and a Kentucky contractor, FTS worked to find a
solution that worked for both parties on this challenging Virgin Island project. The
original design called for a single 50,000 gallon tank. Due to logistics, barge freight,
and narrow mountain roads to the job site, a two-tank design was provided to
overcome the challenges. Working hand in hand with the contractor, FTS provided
CAD drawings, plumbing layouts, and anti-flotation calculations to satisfy the
engineering firm. A lengthy “Covid Pandemic” created more challenges, but with hard
work and constant communication, FTS completed the tank munufacturing and
delivery “on time” and “under budget”.
