This vertical auger dig method utilizes a Fiberglass Tank Solutions underground storage tank for a stormwater storage & reuse application. This construction project utilized a large diameter auger dig technique and a light weight, water tight, corrosive resistant fiberglass tank to complete the installation of this 12′ x 20′ deep tank in ONE DAY! This construction method was very safe, meeting all California OSHA safety standards without having a man enter this vertical hole. This pilot project opened the door to a space saving storage option for multiple projects in the Las Angeles County market. FTS delivered a product under budget, on time, utilizing corrosive resistant materials that will provide an extended service live, as compared to other concrete products.
